Default Venison recipe

I' d like to try cooking venison steaks in butter, salt, pepper, w/ a few chives. Can anyone add to this or have a similar recipe?

add a little garlic, and sprinkle wih lowyers seasoning.thats what we do,along with the butter.

we some times add seasoning to the meat and pound between two pieaces of waxed paper ,then put in egg wash, then flour and fry like chicken.[:-]

I have not found anyway that is not good.I can eat it three meals a day.[:-]

When i cook my deer in butter, i put in a whole stick of butter and put the skillet on the lowest setting possible and just let the meat soak up the butter and what other seasonings you put on, just let it sit for about a half hour on each side or so.

here's how i cook my steaks....get yourself one of those corning dishes that is shallow about 2" or so deep....i put my steak in there, spices i like, one stick of sliced butter, about a 8oz jar of whole mushrooms, cover with foil and put in the oven on the middle rack of my electric oven and cook it on the broiler setting of 450 so it cooks it from the top....the foil keeps it from burning on the top....then about 45 min to an hour later take it out....when i take the foil off the butter is still bubbling....the best so far is to take it out when it is still just a litte pink or just out of pink....and enjoy your harvest......................bob
