Default Storing meat...

Quick question for you guys...my wife and I canned deer meat last fall after our hunt. I'm wanting to store it in a cool place and the best place I have currently is a small cabinet in our basement. Herein lies the problem. I am currently storing ammunition in this cabinet on the bottom shelf.

Is it ok to keep canned food in the same cabinet without fear of somehow contaminating it with lead? All of the ammo I have is in boxes or containers (none is freely sitting on the shelf). I just am not sure if I should keep food in there with it. Any thoughts?

I thin ther is no problem if the can is tight but what I always do with meat is I salt it, then I make a vacuum package it and for months nothing comes out or in from the bag until you open it.
