Deer Jerky
when me and my dad cook deer jerky it always hard but
no matter what time we sit it on its never worked. or soft n up[:@]

Try "Hi Mountain Jerky Cure" available at Cabelas and Wally World. Works great and is fool proof. Under $10.00

First you don't cook jerky you slowly dry it at low temp. Just how do you make yourjerky? what equipment do you use, temp, time? It could be you are drying too fast at too high a temp. and slicing the meat too thin.

we got a dehyrdator and dehydrate it from 8to 10 hours .....

Slice thin and set the dehydrator to 155'F and it should be done in 6 hours (7-8hrs at the very most if sliced thick).

test it after 5 or 6 hrs mine usually takes 6hrs depending on thickness
