whats the worste thing u hate about makin jerky?

i hate makin jerky because of the mess. but most of all i eat the jerky befoer i can get it in a baggy haha. damn stuff is so good eat it all at one time

it will keep better in a paper bag,as it still has some moisture in it. the bag will continue to let it dry.

I hate the time it takes to get it ready to eat,takes to long.
I try to make double batches so I will have some to naw on while the next batch cooks.

I do not think there is any perfect amount. The more I make, the more we eat. Just do not waste it.

With me, the worst thing would be the way all that meat shrinks to fit in such a small package. Then ya eat it in such a hurry. Last year the family got a lot of game, so I made up my normal 16 pound recipe. I also made 5 pds more for some spice I got for xmas. All that fit in 2 big baggies when it was done. We ate 1 bag up, and the other, I stuck way in the back of the deep freeze. Now that ya mention it, I think I' ve saved that other bag long enough.......
Jerky, chocolate chip cookies, and sex are similar. Some are better than others, but I' ve never had any that I can call BAD, yet!
