Default FREEZER QUESTION?

HEY GUYS,
I HAVE HAD 3 FREEZERS GO BAD ON ME THE LAST 3
MONTHS, NOW ALL THE FREEZERS WERE KINDA OLD AT LEAST 4 YEARS
BUT THE LAST YEAR I HAVE KEPT THEM OUT IN THE SHEDS WITH NO HEAT OR AC, RIGHT NOW IT IS 29DEGREES IN THE SHEDS , DO YOU THINK THAT IS THE REASON THAT THEY ALL DIED OR IS IT JUST BAD TIMING?
IM GOING TO BUY A HUGE CHEST FREEZER BUT I DONT WANT TO IF THE WEATHER IS GOING TO KILL IT

ANY INFO WILL HELP

THANKS IN ADVANCE

I have a freezer in my unheated attached garage it gets down to -10 in the cold months out there. Been doing this for 25 years and the freezer just keeps on ticking.

I think the older freezers were really built to last. My parents have a sears upright that they bought when I was 7 years old, I'm 41 and it's still in their unheated attached garage. Makes some noises from time to time and the front door is a little rusty but otherwise it's running great.

I picked up an old freezer from a friends father, same deal rusty front door otherwise runs fine.

I got a old chest type freezer that is atleast 30 years old,its been in an unheated garage the last 20. Its still aworking, for how long thats the ? I'd take a quess that low voltage may have killed yours. Three going bad that close gets me to thinking voltage or amps. Zeak
