Default deer for breakfast...

what kind of breakfast meals do you guys eat using deer? I have never really thought about doing it, but I might try a deer + egg+ cheese sandwhich tom. morning. It works with sausage, so i guess it should work w/ deer. I have a tenderloin marinating in BBQ sauce in the frig. Ill just cut it up in thin slices and make a sanwhich with it. SOund like it will work?

I've had deer heart with fried onions and green peppers for breakfast before. Tasty, but we should have tossed it into some scrambled eggs.

you could also just brown the deer sausage and mix it in scrambled eggs. Another favorite of mine is to mix either deer sausage or ground deer in fried potatoes and onions.

The tenderloins from INSIDE the deer. Not everybody even knows about these. They lay right along the spine, just ahead of the hind quarters, inside the body cavity. A pair of them from an average deer weigh about a pound total. We have these for breakfast at deer camp. Slice em, fry em up fast with onions, maybe slice a toast, bisquit or whatever. Holy balls is that good!
