After skinning my deer I use a propane torch to singe the hair off. I guess it would work on a squirrel also.

I have the same problem. Rinsing with water doesn't work, and I haven't figured out what will. I will check back.

The only way I ever removed it was "one by one" with tweezers.

You might give this method of skinning a try. Cut off the paws ,head and tail and split the skin down the back from the neck to the tail. Work your fingers along the backbone pushing the skin down . When you get to the lower side(belly) hold the body in one hand and the skin flap in the other and pull hard. They will seperate and pull off just like taking off a coat. Dress the carcass last. This usually takes all the hair with the skin.

Go to this website & watch the video. I have been cleaning them the hard way all my life until I found this. Takes only a couple of minutes & you don't have the hair.
