Yep that's what were doing. I bought a couple of marinaides to use but not to sure if will try them. Their both eastmans. Garlic butter taste like taco bell sauce and the honey mesquite tastes like kraft bbq sauce. So I just might go and whip somthing up myself.

Gun controll is using both hands!!!

I fry mine also. I made up a recipie kinda cajun style.
salt, black pepper, red pepper, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder.
mix it all together. Dont really have amounts, I just do it to where I think it's right. You will need to have about a cup total. Mix Half with one cup water. You may even want to bring this to a boil first to get everything to come together. Make absolutly sure you refrige before you inject. DO NOT PUT WARM MARINADE IN A COLD TURKEY!!! After injecting, use the rest of the seasonings as a rub. I also find if you rub the bird with olive oil first, it helps the spices to stick.

Good Luck. Capt Brad.

PS- Scrapehunter, what part of La. are you? I'm from Minden Origianly.

store bought birds I deep fry.inject with a mixture of garlic powder,Cavenders season, lowyers seasoning,Zesty Italian salad dressing.use all the dry ingrediants for a rub, then add the dressing and strain for injection.then deep fry.

for my wild birds,I fry the breast,take all the parts and cook in crock pot till it falls off the bone,then my wife uses it to make her rice dressing.you will save each and every piece of you bird if you try it.<img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle>
