Default crappie sandwich

Thought I would share my favorite sandwich with ya. This is not good for you. Get some butter flavored crisco going on med. heat. Dip fish in egg mixture then flower and add to skillet. Add full length strips of thick peppered bacon. Add a heap of purple onion slices and a heap of 1/8th inch sliced potatos. Cook all together until done. I cook the bacon and taters until crisp. Get your toaster going while you wait and toast some white bread. Slap some mayo on thattoast and add fish bacon potato and onion. You won't taste no better SAMMICH

You got it Rev. We only have these a few times a year but they sure are worth the wait. Oh and weight

That does sound tasty[8D] (you take the fish bones out first?)(cook the taters?)

Just plain rawonion or even bacon(with peanutbutter)makes a good one too or cabbage.

Sounds delish , but doesn't the fish overcook waiting for the taters to get done ?
I'll have to try that sometime , it would make a great shore lunch . The only substitution I would make would be multigrain bread , it has a much better flavor and I happen to hate white bread . Toss on some McIlhenny's Garlic Tabasco sauce and it just might be the perfect sammich .

yea Kevin just take out stuff when it is ready and add more as you go. Pile it all up on some paper towels and say come and make your sammich. That garlic tabasco is the bomb for sure. Knightia the crappie are fileted so no worry about bones.
