Default Venison burgers?

My butcher gave me a bunch of ground venison from my deer kill. I would like to make burgers with it. I have heard it is too lean and has to be mixed with some beef. What is the venison to beef ratio?? Anything else I should add to it? Thanks

your butcher should have added the beef fat to it before he did the grinding.if he did, you use it just like beef burger.

we use it for any and all things that burger is used.burgers ; chillie ; spegittie(sp) ; lazanya ; all berger related foods.

if he didn't add fat ; you will need to add fat substitue, then seasonings.

Why don't you just fry or grill up a burger and taste for yourself?

I made burger as well. I did not mix anything. I make hamburger steaks out of them. A nice oval patty about 1/3 pound. Fry in olive oil with lid on Medium low. Serious good eatting. Season with salt and pepper . Serve with Bacon slab beans / fried potatoes and a side of apple sauce. Good stuff man. I made some as soon aas I go tback from Missouri.

PS Me and Strut made 2 while we were processing the deer meat. When you gring the meat be sure to use the coarse blade. Do not mince it up . Bad mistake.

I just add garlic salt and some lemon pepper seasoning to the ground venison! No need for beef or fat! Seems me that would defeat the point of eating venison! I can't eat any burger besides venison burgers nowadays! Good luck!
