How long does smoked sausage last?
 

Just smoked up 7# of venison summer sausage. I've never had a need tofreeze it or even keep it in the frig for long periods as my family eats it up in a matter of days. This year I wish to keep a stick for an upcoming trip in the latter part of December -a bit more than a month away.How long will it last in the frig? Will it be as good frozen? I make sausage from those High Mountain summer sausage kits with my own special ingredients added to it. Thanks.

if you freeze it, then it will last for several mo's.
in the fridge , ( if it is really smoked sasuage) it will last several weeks.
