Default Excalibur dehydrator

Does anyone own or have any info on the Excalibur model #2400, this is the smallest one they make, all their other models get rave reviews but I really only want a small one. any help greatly appreciated.

I love my excaliber. I had the large 9 rack (I think model), but it was so bulky and I never make that much at one time. So I traded and got the smaller 5 rack model. It has a timer. Reason I got the 5 rack was it has a more powerful fan. What I love with the excaliber over the garden master or whatever is it only takes me6 hours to dehydrate 4lbs of meat. With the cheap walmart versions, it takes 10-18 hours, and you have to constantly rotate.

I also went to their webage and got a 10 year warranty with it. So I figure if it lasts 10 years, it will be well worth the extra cost.

Hey guys you should check out the food networkweb site. Alton Brown made one using a Square standared house fan and furnace filters. It'ssimple!!! Just fill the filters with meat or what have you anchor them down with bungee cord. Set it in a cool window seal crank it on.

PS don't use the angel hair filters the other ones can't think of the name.

I've also heard of putting it between 2 screens and leaving in a ventilated attic.
