Default Game processing book?

Can anyone recommend a comprehensive book on game processing. I'm dumb so I need lots of pictures and step by step instructions from field dress to freezer.

Thanks for any info.
Jeffrey

(edit) Primarily for deer and hogs but I could see taking squirrel or rabbits too!

Default RE: Game processing book?

Jeff: Contact www.storeybooks.com or look for this one on www.amazon.com Basic Butchering of Livestock and Game by John J. Mettler, Jr. D.V.M. It's a bit dated, even though it was written in 1986. I think Dr. Mettler may be an older gentleman as he makes a few comments that strike me as coming from and older school of thought, but it is very complete and concise. It leads you through the process from tools to killing to preserving (freezing, smoking, corning, pickling) and has many excellent illustrations that are very easy to follow. I recommend it highly to anyone venturing towards doing their own processing.
