What is the best way to cook squirrel meat?

I tend to prefer to marinade it in a good mesquite flavored sauce and then grill it but then again I prefer to do that with most meat.

I like to boil or pressure cook for a while until tender and then batter with flour and fry up.

I also like crock potting with vegtable soup.

I like to put it in sphaghetti sauce. Tree rats have a nice flavor.

the young ones ; season with garlic powder , lowyers season salt , flour and fry just like chicken.

the old ones,flour and brown on all sides in a little grease,then put in pressure cooker till tender and make gravy over them ,with stomped taters or rice.

Cut it up into small chunks, par boil it then cook it in a pot pie with potatoes, carrots, and celery. Yummy. Works great with rabbits also. Can also make stew in the crock pot. Either way will tenderize them quite nicely.
