Default javelina recipes?

I am doing an archery javelia hunt next month and plan on getting one this year (I planned on getting one last year, but that didn't work...different story). Anyway, I have heard some people say the meat is nasty no matter what, and other people say it is good as long as it is prepared correctly. Any recipes/opinions/tips/suggestions?

Best to et um while dey's small.
Them ol' trophy boars are foul 'n nasty.

Which is a good rule of thumb for all game critters. I'd pass up an 8 point buck anytime. Too GAMEY.
