help me turn elk burger into jerky

ok i have 30 lbs of last years elk burger left over. i want to make jerky out of it. i dont have a jerky shooter. should i just roll it out 1/2 inch thick and then smoke it? im not sure what to do. any and all help will be appreciated. thanks

Just roll it out between layers of waxed paper. Pull top sheet back and cut into strips. I make it all the time.

Scott i would roll it out a little thinner 1/8 to 1/4 dries more evenly that way.do a search some good recipes out there

Mix all your ingredients up. (if you need recipe just hollar) Lay out about five pounds on a good sized flat cookie sheet freeze it over night then cut it up while it is frozenand cook for 3 hours at 175 directly on oven grills
