Ever try to make "smores" in a pie iron?? How about using rolled cookie dough? BLTs anyone? Just for fun try sliced ham, sausage patties, sliced onions, pepper rings, and breaded green tomato slices. Make up a bread dough, let it rise the first time, cut off chunks and bake them!

I have a small book on cooking with pie irons. It covers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Probably about 100 recipes. I've tried about 10 of them, all with fantastic results.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll get the publisher for you.

I make pizza sandwiches in the irons. Just butter two slices of bread, put the buttered side out. In the middle, just slather some pizza sauce, pile up some cheese, pepperoni and whatever else you like. I'm partial to ham, pineapple and green peppers.

Can't screw up the pizza sandwiches unless you burn 'em.

Well I don't think the book is published by any major publishing firm. The title is called "Boondockers Quisine Pie Iron Recipes Breakfast, lunch & Dinner Snacks & Treats" By Mike Mooney Privately Printed in the USA 2004

I think I got this about 1yr ago off ebay.

Hope this helps, but let me know if you need more info.
