If you really want to get bent out of shape then consider this: Portaballa mushrooms are the same crappy white 'shrooms you buy at the store except they allow them to mature past the button stage . With a good kit and a cool dark space you could grow all of the "portabella" 'shrooms that you'll ever be able to eat . If you decide to go this route consider the tan 'shrooms as well since they taste better .

Yeah....but Portabella shrooms don't give me an excuse to go wondering around the woods in 3 different states looking for a fungus. LOL

Yep i have seen those mushroom kits in the garden cataloges
I dont know if Wy has anywild morels- they must be scarce/rare if so.

They have some strange lill ones growing on the cow pies at times.

I have a max budgetof $1.00 a lb for veggies/ $3.00 for meat+elk tag etc
