Deer's Score? G-1's or Brow tines?? Questions!!

I've heard people talking and what not, and they refer to the point as G's for example G-1's and G-2's.. So would the G-1 be the brow tine or the first above the brow tine? I have always thought of it as the one above the brow tine because in most cases the G-1's are the largest tine and most bucks don't have bigger brow tines than other tines. I'm only 14, know alot about hunting but not the scoring stuff? Any help would be greatly appreciated... - Buckhunter14

The G-1 is the brow tine, The G-2 is the first point after the brow tine.

I have a question regarding scoring as well. Do you only get up to 4 circumference measurements?? What if it is a 6 x 6 rack??
