I use bright fletchings, cresting wraps and lighted nocks.

There's a sure fire answer. Don't miss. Practice closer and get your form down to a Tee. I break a lot of arrows hitting them with another arrow, but I lose my share. Probably 1/2doz in the last ten years. All part of the price of having fun.

On another note you can dip them in FletchLac, but a newer way is to use arrow-wraps. Lighted nocks are also nice if you want to spend $10 for each one.

Two years ago I switched from gray hens with a purple cock, to all florecent green vanes and nocks. Rather then blending in, I stand out and couldn't be happier. I like practicing at odd objects at unknown distances in the woods and my arrow lose has been cut down to practically nothing, not to mention no guess shot placement. While in the stand I have deer of all ages and distances look right past me without a second thought. So as you can tell I'am sold, brighten it up.
