That' s another dandy from PA this year. I don' t ever recall seeing so many GOOD bucks from PA being put on the forums....do AR and HR have something to do with it? You be the judge.[8D]

Something has surely changed Jason. The one you got was real nice too. My buddy' s buck isn' t the only big one in the area we hunt. I saw a buck last week that was the equal to this buck and another 8 point that wasn' t as big as this guy but really nice too. AR has something to do with it I suspect. Jim

I think the ARs helped in some areas but on private property not as much. I don' t think the buck in that picture was saved by ARs. I' m sure he was a shooter last year. We have 2 giant bucks on our property this year and I' m not sure what the deal is. We usually only had about 5 or 6 sub-6 pointers shot on a 3000 acre piece of private land anyway so most of our bucks were already surviving the season. With only 1 year of ARs, I don' t know what' s going on but there is certainly in increase in the numbers of nice bucks around.

Barnes...I agree that the buck was probably a shooter last year, but if he came running by during gun season would you have been able to put the required number of points on him? I believe that AR' s could and may have spared this buck last year. I' m sure a lot of bucks that were shooters last year walked because guys couldn' t put enough points on them. I passed up a couple bucks last year that were probably shooters but I couldn' t be certain...So no shot. My two cents.
