Just no way to tell without scouting[:' (] Maybe if it is chock full of deer you' d be lucky enough to go in, hang a stand and get one but nothing replaces good scouting and knowing the property.

Find likely funnels. Trenches, narrowing corridors in the tree lines, etc. If you can, check some topo maps of the land and look for saddles in the ridges and shelfs on the sides of them. These are natural crossing points and travel routes for deer. Look for their water sources and look for the heaviest cover on the property. If you can get to the land office and give them the legal description for the land, you can get aerial photos of it. These things are invaluable when in your situation. Once you' re on the land, you' ll be able to find the food sources and concentrate on avenues between the heaviest cover, and that food source.
Good luck, it won' t be easy, but that' s why they call it hunting.

I' d check any topo or aerial photos you can find.
Terra server has them for free and I use them all the time to check spots that I haven' t been to before. It' ll give you a great look at natural funnels, food and water sources and what not.
