Anyone have the Diamond Atomic youth?
Just picked up a Diamond Atomic for my 5 1/2 year old for Christmas. He got to shoot some archery this fall at an exhibit our local conservation officers had and he enjoyed it. I did a lot of research and felt this bow was best for him at his age. It was a little pricey but seems to be great quality, is one of the lightest youth compounds and has a huge range of adjustments, all the way down to six pound pull. It should last him for many years. I hope he is as excited about it as I am. Weight and length adjustments can be made without a bow press which is a plus.
I used to shoot quite a bit but I did not start as you as him. I started out shooting fingers and no peep site. From a "form" point of view is it better to start a young one out with a release or not? I was thinking release and peep site would be more accurate and help keep him interested in the beginning.
