I hate the word stabilizer because to actually get stability you would need one about 6 feet or longer actually. It is more to quiet down your bow more then anything. Now to answer your question yes it is great for this reason.

yeah the apache is awesome I have one on all my bows and recommend them to all my clients. Its a great product for a great price

I liked it.. had it on my old bow... had trouble with stuff sticking to the rubber though... but I did like it

Mounted on my Hoyt Maxxis 31, works just fine!
Looks pretty good, too.
