Default Release ?

I am almost sure that somewhere at some time I saw a release that worked the opposite of the regular ones. What I mean is it holds the string with the trigger pulled. It fired by relaxing your finger. It seems to me this would allow for a smoother shot with no chance to punch the release. Is there such a release and if so who has used one and where do I find one. Tim
