As you alluded to, they fly like field tips for me (as long as your bow is properly tuned).
I've taken a few deer and have been very impressed with the take-down ability. You don't get the trail that you would with, say, a Rage, but good none-the-less.
As long as you keep them sharp (get either the sportsman's sharpener or the diamond stone) they'll do the job. Cutting diameter is similar to other fixed blades.
If you're looking for a good fixed blade I'd say these are right up there.
