I shot these two doe's on the eveing of October 21st, 2011. My stand was set up on a hillside amungst several acorn bearing oak trees. It all happened so fast I didnt get an oppertunity to count the exact number that snuck up from behind me that evening but approximatly seven doe's ventured into my kill zone. After several minutes of patiently watching these doe's and waiting for my oppertunity to strike, the largest of the group put her head down to feed 20 yards broadside to my right. Being a right handed shooter i had to carefully do a 180 in my stand to get the shot off. I smoked the doe with a direct heart shot and watched the blood pumping out of her as she ran by infront of me. she fell over and died 50 yards away. My Hoyt CRX 32 is so quiet that the rest of the doe's seemed to have no idea what had just happened nor did they seem to care. Even as the doe I smoked ran off and died within eye sight of the rest of them, not a single doe raised her tail up in alarm. They simply lowered thier heads and went back to feeding. With that said, Feeling somewhat over confident, I nocked another arrow and took aim at the second largest doe standing broadside behind me and to my left 20 yards away. I smoked this doe with a heart shot aswell and she ran approximatly 50 yards before falling over and dying. Finally, the rest of the doe's realized something wasnt right and ran off. So to recap my hunt, within about ten minutes from the time I spotted the doe's approaching my stand from behind me and within three minutes from the time I smoked the first doe, I bagged two very nice whitetails. While I take credit for much of this success for my scouting, patience, and practice. I credit my Hoyt CRX 32 for the oppertunity of bagging two does. In 17 years of bowhunting, never have I shot a more quiet, accurate, and consistant bow.

Not much luck this year. Played cat and mouse with one dandy but that was at the end of the season... he won.

Last year i had my first non typical scored over 160 but with deductions BS did not make pope and young. The scorer was amazed at both the rack and the fact it would not make the book would love to post pic but still only lets me add thru a "URL" not browse and add from my own files..

This is the buck I shot towards the end of bow season in southern WI. First deer on a small parcel of land that I have been trying my best to manage for 5 years.100_2279 (3).jpg Have yet to get him scored but I am interested in what he will go.
