Default Saw something interesting

I was watching a hunting video the otheer night, and there was a guy on there that that used a mountain bike to get to his stands. Anyone ever try that? He had it all camoed up and everything.

I used my mountain bike one spring to get back to a turkey hunting hotspot. It wasn't camoed at all but it didn't matter. I just layed it down in a 5 foot tall field of switchgrass. No worries about losing it, i knew this property well. It sure helped, it was alot easier than walking a mile.

I remember the hunt well also. Called in a nice tom from 300 yards off of public ground. I made about the slightest move you could ever make to shift my feet in the right direction when he got close. Only got a split second glimpse of him as he busted me and was in a hurry to get heck out of there.

I didn't have a vest at the time so it would have been an interesting ride back. Unfortunately it didn't work out.

We have used them for duck hunting some of the public waters here in Il. We just throw our waders over our shoulders, bag of 1 doz. waterkeel dekes with small weights and shotgun with pocket full of shells.
Wear tennis shoes going in. Padlock bike upto a tree and away we go. Light and beats walking 2 miles to get to some of the more back places.
