usually 1/2 to 1 inch longer. When you come to full draw, the tip insert should come flush with the end of the riser.

+1...I shoot a 28" draw and and 28" arrow puts me right about where jicand said.

I always make sure the arrow goes past the rest 3/4 to 1 inch.

A longer arrow will have a higher weight and a more relaxed spine. Shorter arrows weigh less, travel faster, have a stiffer spine and transfer slightly less kinetic energy than a longer arrow.

my draw is 28inches. My arrows are cut to 27 inches. This puts the end of my arrow (start of my point/broadhead) about a half inch in front of my fingers...

I go with the 1/2" seems to be the most accurate for me.
