Default Best Place to store bow

Hey guys,
New to the forum and new to bow hunting. Where is the best place to store your bow when your not using it for long periods of time. I know a place with not much change in temperature would be the best. Is the basement a bad idea? I store mine in a plastic case and sponge lining.

I keep my bow and my wifes bow in hard cases in the closet. This keeps them safe and sound away from the little fingers.

Only problem with the basement I would worry about would be the moisture down in the basement.

Bow storage today is not as critical as it was a few years ago. Just keep it away from extremes and you are good to go.

Only thing I can suggest is keep it away from high heat. I see folks hanging thier bows in rooms with 5% humidity with wood stoves cranking.

I have no proof you can warp the riser, or delam the limbs, but I know you can delam limbs from recurves and other bows, even when glued up with industry smoothon, which seems to be an industry standard.

I had a friend who hung his browning bow to close to his woodburner in the garage, he eded up with severe delamination on his limbs. I was suprised the bow even held together.

I keep mine in cases in the hunting room, but I would think in a case under the bed or hanging on the wall or in a closet would be fine. Just watch about setting them over a heat/ac vent.

I keep mine in the it's hard case, then it either goes under the bed or in the closet.. Just make sure not to put it close to the heating vent if you put it under the bed..
