Default My best deer so far....

I was out this morning, an almost perfect morning 7mph winds from the W/SW and 34 degrees. He came in at 8 yrds stopped to eat a little I had no shot. Few minutes later he circled around and started heading back the way he came.. Hit him a little to far back.Called my buddy and we decided to give him some time. We gave him 6 almost 7 hours picked up the blood trail . He only went about 200 yrds and bedded down.

Shot was a quartering away shot but the deer turned to a steep quatering away shot when he released arrow hit just in front of the back leg, hit intestine/stomach, but when he saw the deer leave he wasnt sure how much of the arrow was sticking out, we began tracking and found the arrow 60 yards away, with 20 inchs of penetration showing, tracked for 150 yards and came up on the deer bedded at 30 yarsd while , place a lung shot on it and it jumped and ran 10 yards. dont know why he didnt post the whole story, prob afraid of getting bashed here or something but, not all shots are perfect, did the right thing after the shot and payed off GREAT JOB MIKEY
