Default Upstate NY Tom Turkey w/ bow

Got him yesterday with mathews Z7 and nap bloodrunner. 11" beard 17.8lbs 1" spurs.

I was hunting in schenectady county. I also hunt rensselaer county NY. This is my 1st turkey. Ive been trying for nice tom with the bow for 4 yrs. Good eating............

Congratulations on getting a turkey with your bow. Very nice. Not many bow hunter do that. I missed one by about an inch on Saturday. Did a backflip away from the arrow, feathers flying, then puffed himself up, looked around and walked on like nothing happened. How far away was he when you shot him? Were yo on the ground or in a treestand?

I was in a treestand in a travel corridor. Found the spot while deer scouting. Saw alot of birds in the same area all the time. It was a 20 yd shot.
