Default What determines draw length?

When my bow says it is a 30 inch draw yet the model also offers 27, 28, 29 in the same bow, it made me wonder how the draw is changed. If you have a 30 inch draw, you need to buy a 30 inch bow or can you change the draw of each respective bow pretty easily?

Most bows now days have modules that can change the draw length. That being said, unless Mathews started putting modules on lately, you have to buy the right draw length from the start or puchase another cam altogether. My 05 Bowtech is the same way, it is draw length specific. I had to buy a set of cams to shorten my draw.

Some are adjustable. You can change the cam setting on my Hoyt, for example within a certain range (forget what the min/max settings are).
