Default Early season grunt patterns

What grunt patterns have you guys found to work the best? Long, short, pauses... and does the pattern change when the rut kicks in?

Usually early season a fawn bleat works for doe, a little later in the season, (pre-rut) a few short grunts may bring in a buck or doe. When the rut is kicking I use what is called a tending grunt quite often. If you have ever heard a buck chasing a doe grunting every step you will know what I'm talking about. The grunt almost every step.
