www.googleearth.com

You can also do fairly well with yahoo/maps and click on satellite view.

mapquest also has the ability. You just have to click aerial, to view actual from above picture. Like bgfisher said, google and yahoo both have the same thing. There is also www.terraserver.com But not all web sites have a very updated image

depending what area, Google earth will usually have an actual visual of the area. Some areas Google hasn't received a satellite view yet though.

Go to the IndianaMap website -http://inmap.indiana.edu/viewer.htm. Click the reference tab, then the contours and imagery tab, then select the aerial photo images (2008 is most recent, but 2005 is better resolution), then zoom in on your area of interest. You can download images as a jpeg file. You can also download entire USGS topo maps. All free.

Bing Maps 3D isnt bad either. Dependng on the area they have a "birds eye view" that really helps out.
