Default hoyt shooters and followers please reply

ok the magic question is this.. im thinking about picking up a hoyt carbon matrix, my problem is besides the carbon matrix being a AWESOME bow.. does anybody think that hoyts 2011 lineup will have anything that actually surpasses the carbon matrix.. i dont wanna drop the grand on the bow and find out in 5 months the bow has beeen outclassed by the new line up.. normally id wait till the 2011 models but the sale on the carbon matrix is temporary and i only have till next week to decide.. so i was wondering if any of your bow gurus have heard anything on the new hoyt line up

No one is going to know anything on the new Hoyt lineup until it is actually released. There are a few in the know but they will be very tight lipped until the release date.So anything you hear will be pure speculation.

You actually will stand the chance of the Matrix not being available next year due to it being a limited run for testing the grounds on the carbon design. My feeling is they have had very positive responses to the design and their will be more to choose from with the carbon riser design.

If you like the bow and it is within your budget,I say go for it.Chances are that there will not be major advances with this design.Maybe a shorter version with a little more speed but nothing major.

Less than 90 days until the new Hoyts come out, i say hold off. Theres a reason the 2010 models are starting to go on sale. Been shooting Hoyts since the Rambo came out and the new ones are available here mid October to early November. I buy one every year. Good luck either way you go.

I wouldnt get a carbon matrix if someone gave me one I'd sell it for 850 and buy a maxxis 31. smooth draw dead in the hand and super quiet. I'm at 62# and getting 298 fps with a hunting setup. I wouldnt trade my maxxis 31 for the world. just my .02 Ryan.

I personally feel the Maxxis is a step backwards from the AM series and yes,I have an AM 35 as well as a Maxxis 31.Hands down, the AM is a better bow.Purely from a tuning and shootability standpoint.

I love the Matrix as well but the coin is holding me off.Especially considering I have a son that is starting to get into big boy bows.

I'll definitely level with you on that one bud, The alphamax was a DANG nice bow. I was really impressed with it but for me I went with the maxxis 31. I shot it and fell in love with it..... which judging by my girlfriend now I've been led in the wrong direction before Good call on the Alphamax, I sorta forgot about it. Ryan.
