Default Bowhunting Iowa, Illinois, and Kansas?

I had originally started a thread about the best places and outfitters to bowhunt Canada, but after just a little research, I can see that that's gonna require a monster budget.

Can you all help me out a little with some recommended Guides or Outfitters in Iowa, Illinois, and/or Kansas? Iowa would be my preference, but I understand it's easier to get a non-res tag in one of the other two states.

Any help/advice would be very much appreciated as I'm trying to get a hunt lined up for next fall/winter (2011-2012).

Thanks everybody,
Big Sweaty

Iowa takes at least 2 if not 3 preferance points to get a tag and the deadline is the first week of June. Some outfitters in northern MO are good, by the IA line, big deer. IL is expensive, but you can find smaller outfitters or land owners that are way cheaper. Kansas is awesome!

If you have WAY TOO MUCH money, contact an Iowa outfitter.

I hunt very near the area that the guy in this link hunts in KS. His prices don't seem too bad and I can vouch that there are good deer in the area. I'm not affiliated with him at all, but we both use the same taxidermist.

If you have to wait another 2 years, you must have bought a point for zone 5. From what I hear you can usually get into zone 4 every 2 years.

Are you planing a DIY hunt in Iowa or having a guide?

Born & raised in N.W. Ill. & now live in N.E. Iowa.
Go way North to Ws. & hunt along the border of the Upper P. of Mi. Fewer deer but big ones...

IA and IL both are expensive tags, not sure the cost of KS think they're cheaper though.

IL and KS you can draw your 1st year of applying, IA typically 3 years I believe.

IA and KS are known to be tops as far as management of whitetail go.
