I was drawn for a bull moose in my area this season. Bow season opens early (Sept. 8th) and I find the moose dwell on large islands surrounded by creeks. What are my early season tactics for getting within bow range of of a bull?
They are usually in some good willow cover that make them a little easier to get up close to. Use the cover they are in to your advantage and play the wind.
