I suggest 452X, even though I shoot 8125 with winners choice. He's a good dude to deal with. One thing about John, is you never have to worry about him coming on here and bad mouthing you after you have been a customer of his. Lots of real bad characters out there pushing strings and such. Highly recommend.

Guy's about as straight-up as you'll find in this industry. My shop sells his strings/cables as SOP.....unless someone specifically requests something different. Being from NC, they get 2 day turnaround.

Never heard a bad thing about his co....or him. Rare, these days.

John, Makes top notch strings. I have used and sold several sets. Delivery got to be a major problem and the last set I got from him took several weeks. I could not expect my customers to wait that long. Hopefully John has gotten better.

I picked up a dealership with VaporTrail and have been very pleased, both with product, delivery time (always less than a week), and customer service on the rare instances it was needed.

I sell them with the option of Halo servings which is the toughest serving out there. Also my prices are very competetive.

I am sure John is still a member here, but he never did post a lot and I'm not sure when I last saw a post from him.

Either way you'll be Happy!!

Dan

We use his stings quite a bit in our shop also and I have used his strings on 4 of my personal bows. Top notch strings that cost half as much as other strings in the same class. My only problem is that turn around could sometimes take a long time.

Bowtech strings must take longer to make, BC. Or....maybe they're not getting a kick-back from John to push his wares. Hard to say. I know Bowtech has preferred companies they deal with (their dealers and staffers are allowed to purchase these products at a VERY reduced price.....and push them, in return).

I'm betting I could have (in my hand) a new string/cables for my son's Guardian - by Friday.

FYI, I am a dealer. I can buy Winners choice, VaporTrails, BuckNasty, and H&M Strings all at dealer cost.

I make my decision on what I carry from the following criteria.
1. Quality product
2. Delivery time
3. Customer service
4. Cost is a lesser consideration and to be honest they are all pretty much the same as far as dealer cost is concerned.

You're right, we push Bowtech strings and nothing else. Bowtech offers a new bow with every ten strings ya know. What a reach GMMAT. Man, you sure do get bitter when someone contradicts your experiences.

His strings are awesome but when I ordered his stings almost exclusively for the 2007/2008 season I had more than just a couple of orders take over a month to come in during the busiest time of the season. People can't wait over a month to get strings. He became way too popular way too fast to keep up with orders. A classic case of growing your business way too fast.

I am sure you could have a set by Friday. I doubt he is exceptionally busy right now like he is during the peak of archery season.

To be fair I didn't order any strings from him in 2009 because we decided to use another company that guaranteed delivery. Hopefully he as stepped up the number of employees and hopefully has enough staff to complete orders in a timely manner now.
