Depends on what type of hunting you plan on doing. I will be using mine mostly in a tree stand, and also plan to use a pop-up blind this yr so I can take my son with me to get him started in hunting with me. I am just getting back into shooting compounds myself. Haven't shot one in over 15 yrs and used a crossbow for the past 3 yrs.
My biggest problems when picking a new bow was my draw length which is 26 1/2" and being left handed left me little too choose from at most stores unless they ordered it for me to try out. I also wanted a shorter bow for use in the blind and stand. My hand size was also an issue as I don't have very big hands.
I went with a Redhead Kronik to get me back into compound bow shooting, I have it set at 65lbs and after some paper tuning and dialing in the sights it a great shooter. Smooth drawing, not alot of vibes when shooting and very forgiving bow to get started with.
Try and put as many bows you can in your hand and get a feel for them. Shoot as many as you can see what feels right for you. The more comfortable you are with the bow you pick the better you will be at shooting it.
good luck.
