Default Any info on these range finders

Has anyone used something like this I guess I dont quite understand the idea.

It is a rangefinder based on the size of average Elk, Deer or whatever it is sized for. They are Not very acuurately as deer size can vary quite a bit.

By a quality range finder or learn to hunt without one.

seen one like this in a rifle scope at a garage sale 1 time, had 5 diff sized deer outlines in it..but i didnt buy it. as said, its a guess-timator and i dont think it will replace old school or range finders at that

thanks for the info I wasnt going to buy it I just wondered how they figured it works useully what I will do is mark a distance whether it be a tree or bush or rock on the ground to help me when Im in my stand for distance issues.
