Me and my dad went out this afternoon to do some shed hunting. There was deer trails EVERYWHERE! I was planning on taking pictures of stuff but the only picture I took was of a deer bed.
Everywhere we went we saw deer beds and deer pee and poop.
We walked for about 2 or 3 miles and saw about 20 deer and no sheds...
Then I was walking the creek line back to the fourwheeler and my dad said he was gonna head up a hill to the west following this major deer trail and I was all bummed out we didn't find anything and I was almost to the fourwheeler when my dad yelled to get my attention and I look back to see him holding a shed in his hand. Me, being so excited, litterally ran to him. I got to him and saw that it had a drop tine on it and instantly I thought it was the buck I injured early in the season that had like 4 or 5 drop tines on it. But then I remembered that the buck had 3 drop tines on his right side and this buck only had one. Then I got to thinking even more and this was a differant drop tine buck I saw. This bucks left side has a split g2. We searched everywhere for the other side but had no luck. We are gonna wait till the snow melts and get back out there.
Hes gonna be a nice one next year. Hopefully he sticks around.
