IMHO I think these guys both were lucky, in terms of shotplacement both were totally off. But two arrows released and two deer down, so, no use complaining.
But I wouldn't have taken any of those two shots, period.

not used to shootin deer on the run with my bow, but as said, 2 deer down...i thought the camera man on the 1st shot almost got stuk...was that the arrow on the ground by his feet right after the shot?

I've shot alot of fish the size of footballs to the size of pop bottle at less than 5 yards moving just as fast or faster. Its all instinctive shooting exspecially when its that close. Weather or not its ethical is based on the shooters ability. I've had people in the boat with me that can't beleive I hit such a small target moving and say I got lucky but hten I do it again after they miss one and they can't beleive it. I tell em its all about practice sure I miss some but thats a small target to hit sitting still let alone moving fast. Sometimes I even suprise myself with hitting some but if you do it enough it just comes natural. I would take those shots that close but anything further no way unless they are walking or stopped. Good shooting. WCL

Deer drives with a bow Is fun. A group of us (mostly traditional bow hunters) have been doing this for 20 years. We don't do It every year but If there's a good number of us without a deer yet with a week left in the season we do some slow, small drives/pushes. We've lost one deer In 20 years of doing this. My guess Is we've gotten probably 15 or so deer. We've had a few misses here and there but that's what happens In these tough close shots.
