I live here in Ohio and I was up in the stand Jan 7th, and saw a 1 1/2 yr old buck that already lost his antlers. Has anyonye else seen any shedding their antlers yet. I just hope here in Ohio, we have muzzleloader coming up, Jan 9-12, that alot of shed bucks aren't mistaken for doe. Usually our muzzleloader came in right after Christmas and most of the bucks would still have their racks then.

not uncommon at all....different bucks shed at different times...ive seen them as early as our rifle season...which starts when Ohios gun season does...
weve found fresh sheds during our flintlock season (runs from the day after Christmas till...tomorrow actually lol) and seen many half racks and both antlers shed during flintlock as well...also see alot of them carrying their racks around still...

We are losing them like crazy in central Iowa. My buddy was out Monday and Tuesday, saw a nice 3 1/2 year old that would have went in the high 130's if he had his other antler. Heard of a guy last week who shot one, after tracking he found the buck had lost both antlers when he hit dirt. (Luckily, found them both in the snow.)
The same buddy shot one that Tuesday night, got him into the truck and barely knocked the antler on the right side and popped right out...
Careful with those late season bucks!!!

Raise your glass to one who got away, for next year we raise him in the garage...
Man, we are just coming into our pre rut. Shedding antlers is still a long ways off.

N.E. Iowa. I had 3 come into my back yard with 12 Does & Fawns. All had their horns-1 eight that would score maybe 120+ & a thick beamed 6 & a spindly 6. They love my bird seed & whenever they show up, they clean em out...
