My dad shot a deer last night at 5pm we looked for blood for a long time you think it would be easy in the snow nothing so we thought he missed so tonight went back to hunt the same spot and he sees birds circiling so we go down and find his doe he shot last night the foxes had ate some of the rear out but didnt touch anything else so we gutted it and brought it home do you guys think any of the meat is okay or should I get rid of it I would think the backstraps would be good and maybe some other meat going outside now to rinse it out then I am gonna hang it how long do you guys think I should I let it hang for before butchering it up Thanks and MERRY CHRISTMAS

I would check it and butcher it. As it sit ungutted and being eaten get r done. I am not a expert by no means but I doubt the foxes did anything to the uneaten meat. I know of alot of guys who eat deer left over night.
