Default My beautiful archery coyote.

My first archery coyote. He's a beauty too.

Got him while I was standing on the ground, hiding in some cedar saplings. I was wearing a shaggie and blaze orange. He came by quickly, giving me a 17 yard shot.

Smoked him... and I was feeling a bit of bigheadedness until about 1.5 hours later a coyote that actually had fur came by and gave me a 12 yard, standing still shot and I shot over it's back. (I suck )

Maybe he's actually a 'possum and coyote cross. Look at that tail.

He was actually very heavy. (those scabs must weigh a lot) Mostly, he was a crusty, scabby, stinky mess.
His teeth were all worn down too. Either he had bad dental hygiene or he was an old dog.

That may be the most mangy coyote I've seen in a while, he sure is a good one though. Congrats!! I'm guessing you were calling them?

Ryan.

Thanks. I have his head on my stove right now. I'll post a picture when it's done. (I'm cleaning his skull, not making soup)

Actually, I was deer hunting but I saw only the 'yotes. I did hear two deer come in by where the coyote died. They were stomping at it.

I'd love to try calling some in.

I can't believe it!

That thing is even uglier than the one I shot a couple years ago!
Mine had mange also, but still had somewhat of a tail. It looked so bad that I left it where it was.

Congrats................I think.
