Default Illinois Rut still going?

Hadn't been out in a while and was planning on hitting it this afternoon and tomorrow. Just was wanting to know if anyone has been seeing any rutting activity still going on here in illinois? Didn't know if rattling would still be effective or not....thanks!

its gotten slow here in So. IL but it never really seemed like it picked up. I had a mature doe come in on me yesterday evening and i watched her for 30 minutes with no bucks following her. Ive tried rattling and havent had anything come into it.

Most Does have been bred so that leaves our bucks awfully frustrated and lookin' hard for the ladies. Now, rattling may be just as effective as it was in the pre-rut.

I don't know if I believe it's still going on, but these responses give me a reason to get outta bed in the morning

Believe....we seen 3 bucks last night chasing and harassing a group of about 10 Doe, and all 3 were good bucks.

Well, I didn't make it outta bed in time, but I am going to hit it this afternoon.
Now I just have to figure out where I'm going.
Choice #1...... small tract of private land that we have been pressuring a bit too hard lately, but know the deer and their habits (major doe hole) with a cut bean field.

Choice #2........ Huge public land with little pressure' but no agriculture and not as familiar.

Choice #3... Tiny rectangle of private land with agriculture, almost no pressure this year, but I can only go there if I take my brother and he WILL bump any deer out if they are in there.

Suggestions?

Saw a nice buck the evening of Thanksgiving. His nose was right on the ground following the same path of three does I saw about 15 minutes earlier.
