Default My first squirrel with my bow.

I've been bowhunting for 13 years. Over that span I have shot at 3 squirrels while I was in my deer stand. The first 2, I missed. The 3rd one was a perfect hit. I will be getting him mounted. He will be hanging on the wall on a nice piece of wood with the arrow sticking in him. Should look pretty cool. Here he is.

Excellent shot. I must have shot 20 times this weekend at squirrels around my house. Missed them all. Shots on the ground btw.

As a matter of fact I had a doe at 15 yards broadside feeding on corn from feeder next to the squirrel. I would have shot her, but I have 2 down already and didn't want to mess with it.

Did you use a field tip, broadhead, or game stopper?

I had a rage 3 blade. It nearly took it's head off.

nice shootin. by all means, get it stuffed. but i'd reconsider the arrow sticking in the mount part....i've seen em done before, and they look lousy....better to hang the arrow under the mount....just sayin

Very nice... they are a challenge... they drive me nuts in the tree... last year I was on a mission and tried to kill as many as possible while bowhunting... brought 3 practice arrows w old BHs on them out every time.. managed to get 7... missed twice as many!
nice shot.

A squirrel mount is different, but an arrow sticking through it sounds a little gruesome.
