Default Well that sucks.

Went to the doctor today about my shoulder. he asked if i had fell on it again or hit it. I said i had been target shooting alot and pulled back the other day and lost my draw and jerked it a good amont. Then he tells me to stopping using my bow and to buy a muzzleloader. I laughed i just got mine monday. He said the bow is putting to muc strain on my Ac tenden and it might even be toren. He gave me a cort. injection AGAIN and said if it is not any better in a month that we will need to try something else. I met him in the middle and told him i would lay of practice but i ant going to stop hunting if a deer walkes infront of me and i can physicaly pull that bow back i will. He said that was ok just to shoot it as little as poss. Sucks to i like shooting my bow but i do not want to mess something up. Good thing i bought the muzzleloader. I told him i was not going to tell you i bought one as i figured the muzzy would be the no no. Looks more and more everyday like i will be going to a crossbow next season. Atleast i can still hunt this year. Nothing is keeping me out of the woods. If i am breathing and can walk i will bite the deer to death if need be

And that my friends is love of the chase and the woods right there...

Not much greater than that. Goodluck on the chase and hope the shoulder holds up!

What about trying a lower draw weight?

That sucks. 4 years ago I about cut my right thumb off ( I'm left handed ) When they stitched me up and put a brace and gauze on it, I told them it had to be set up so I can hold my bow, she looked at me funny, I said I'm serious. It was my first year bow hunting again in 25 years and I needed it set up so I could still hold my bow, I have deer to hunt, she did what I asked, and I got my first deer with a bow that year. And have got a deer every year ever sense.

That sucks Tim. My left shoulder is pretty f-ed up, but I've lowered my poundage and can shoot fine now. I don't have the stamina I used to, but shooting for practice is not a problem. I would drop your poundage before you throw in the towel on this season, because you still need to keep practicing a litttle bit, even if it is just a couple arrows a day.

If the shoulder is permanently screwed up, you could learn to shoot lefty. Many have done it.
