Exclamation CAMO ( or lack of )

ok so i plan to wear a BLACK under armour long sleeve this weekend to bowhunt, should the lack of upper body camo make a diff? I just want tight filling clothing so it wont be an issue

ALSO side note, i do NOT climb real high, i will go as high as i can manage but i get scared easy and when i get like 10 ft off the ground i easily feel twice that high ( ive killed two deer from a climber where the foot rest was about head high from the ground lol, but that was with rifle also )

Camo definately gives an advantage. if you plan on wearing just a black shirt make sure that you are perfectly still. you might want to find a way to make yourself a little more confident with sitting up high though.

the higher the better!! Good luck with that! And the camo is always an advatage but not a necessity you will have to be real still and pick the time to draw your bow at the perfect time!! Good luck!

The problem you will have is that if a deer does happen to look at you, you will look like a black blob against the tree. I camo pattern, especially an open pattern such as Predator or Natural Gear help to take away the blob effect as well as break up your outline. I would try to work on going higher as well, that will help alot. If you are going to hunt that low, try to find a tree that forks with good background cover.

Bad idea! Deer dont like the solid "spot" they are looking at. UnderArmor makes a camo shirt like what you are talking about, might want to invest in that. Even a lightweight jacket over your UA will work, its thin and if you are worried about your string hitting the jacket, just wear an arm guard but you shouldnt have that issue.

If I was hunting that low, I'd be camo head to foot. If you are insistent on the UA, get a camo shirt and you're all set. I was scared to death of my climber when I first got it, took about 10 hunts, and I was up 30 feet. The first thing that cured me was climbing in the dark so I couldn't see how high I was. And, I climbed once on a super foggy morning, completely unable to see anything in the dark/fog, and I felt a tug on my 30' hoist. A couple of those, and you'll feel like you're sitting in a ground blind at 18' Keep on practicing and I think you'll get past your fear.
